Membership terms for personal training
Read about the terms and conditions for personal training below. As a Fitness World member, you have the opportunity to get personal training sessions at selected centres by purchasing a personal training programme.
A personal training programme (PT programme) includes sessions with a personal trainer, incorporating regular support, coaching and an individual workout and training regimen, as well as any diet plans and nutrition coaching.
There are several types of PT programme at Fitness World:
- Themed PT programmes, where the general theme is defined before you meet your trainer, such as our Get Started programme (see our Get Started programme here). Although the theme is defined in advance, our training programmes always focus on you as an individual, and the content will still be customised for you. Please note that not all of our personal trainers offer themed PT programmes.
- PT programmes with no overall theme. You and your personal trainer will decide the theme of the PT programme based on your wishes and needs. You choose your programme based on how many weekly training sessions you would like with your personal trainer and how many weeks you want the programme to last. A training session lasts 50 minutes. Please note that PT programmes have different validity periods. Below you can see different options for PT packages, prices and validity periods for the programmes.
- The Small Group PT programme, where you can work out with a few other people in a group with a personal trainer. Find out more about Small Group pricing, terms and conditions at your local centre.
BOOKING SESSIONS WITH A TRAINER AND OUR CANCELLATION POLICY
After you purchase a PT programme, you can book an appointment with a trainer through the Fitness World app. You may not be able to find a time that suits your schedule, but the Fitness World app can give you an overview of available training times.
Please note that Fitness World cannot guarantee that you will have the same personal trainer throughout your entire programme, and there may be cases where a personal trainer is obliged to cancel a training session. In this case, you will receive information about the cancellation to the e-mail address you provided to Fitness World. Fitness World does not provide compensation in the event of a cancellation, but you can instantly book a new time for your training session using the Fitness World app.
If you need to cancel a training session, you must give us notice and cancel the session using the Fitness World app. Notice of the cancellation must be provided at least 24 hours before the scheduled session, otherwise it is considered to be a late cancellation and your session will be forfeited. In this case, it cannot be refunded or completed at a later date.
PAYMENT SOLUTIONS FOR PERSONAL TRAINING
You can pay for your PT programme directly at our centres where full payment is taken immediately. In addition to cash payment, Fitness World offers a financing solution in cooperation with Express Bank.
PAYMENT SOLUTION VIA EXPRESS BANK
In cooperation with Express Bank, Fitness World offers a financing solution for purchasing a PT programme. This solution is completely free of charge for members (i.e., no extra fees, interest, payment, etc.). Please note that payment via Express Bank is subject to Express Bank's separate terms, and members will be directly informed of these by Express Bank in connection with setting up the financing solution. Express Bank is an independent data controller.
The number of payments via Express Bank can span 6, 12 or 24 months. To ensure no extra fees, interest, etc., monthly payments must be made using automatic card payment, and the loan amount is min. DKK 2,300. Application for payment via Express Bank must be made through a separate link provided by the personal trainer following the conclusion of a personal training agreement. Your NemID will be used to set up an Express Bank agreement. You have 30 days to cancel the credit agreement provided via Express Bank.
If you suspend your Fitness World membership or personal training programme, your separate agreement with Express Bank will continue unchanged. In addition, termination of your membership at Fitness World will not affect your agreement with Express Bank, which will continue unchanged. It is possible for another person to enter a loan agreement on your behalf.
CHANGES, VALIDITY, SUSPENDING AND TERMINATION OF PROGRAMME
Once you have agreed on a PT session with a personal trainer, you can opt to change the number of sessions per week. Please note that if the number of sessions per week is adjusted, it will affect the PT programme’s duration and validity period. If the sessions are not held within the specified validity period, they will be considered completed and cannot be refunded or rescheduled at a later date.
PT programmes have different validity periods depending on the specific PT programme you purchase. The validity period starts from the first completed session and the full programme must be completed within one year of the purchase date. For a fee, it is possible to extend the validity period of a PT programme by 12 weeks using My Fitness World. Extending a PT programme will not change the original number of sessions purchased, but simply prolongs the time that you have to complete them (the validity period). You can extend your PT programme as many times as you wish, but you will be charged a new fee each time. Please note that it is only possible to extend an active programme; if a programme has already elapsed, it is no longer valid and cannot be extended.
A PT programme cannot be suspended, but must be completed within its validity period. You can see the various PT programmes and their validity periods in the table above.
If you wish to stop a PT programme, you must contact your personal trainer. If you have sessions remaining in your PT programme, they will remain on your profile and can be used at another time during the validity period of the PT programme. Remaining sessions can also be transferred to another active member of Fitness World if you wish. If the sessions in your PT programme were purchased by instalments, you as the purchaser will continue to be liable for the payment.
RIGHT OF CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
If you have purchased a PT programme, you can cancel your purchase for up to 30 days after the purchase date if the PT programme has not been used. If any sessions from the PT programme have been completed, the purchase cannot be refunded. You can transfer the remaining sessions from your PT programme to another active member of Fitness World if you wish – this can be done by contacting your personal trainer. If the sessions in your PT programme were purchased by instalments, you as the purchaser will continue to be liable for the payment.
PERSONAL TRAINING CLIP CARDS
NOTE: No new sales from 01 September 2018
To take advantage of personal training sessions, you must purchase a clip card (a multi-use voucher), where one clip corresponds to one personal training session. The number of clips per card varies, and you can pay for selected cards by instalments, where the payment is split and paid over a selected period. CHANGES, SUSPENDING AND CANCELLATIONS
Once you have agreed on a programme with a personal trainer, you can opt to change the number of sessions per week or to suspend your programme by giving your trainer 7 days’ advance notice.
If you need to cancel a personal training session, please contact your personal trainer by telephone at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session, otherwise you will be charged the full amount for the session.
TERMINATION OF PROGRAMME
If you wish to stop a personal training programme, you must contact your current trainer. If you have sessions remaining on your clip card, they will remain on your profile and can be used on another occasion within the validity period beginning from the purchase date. Remaining personal training sessions can also be transferred to another active member if you wish. If the clips were purchased by instalments, you as the purchaser will continue to be liable for the payment.
VALIDITY, RIGHT OF CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
If you have purchased a clip card for personal training, you can cancel your purchase within 30 days of the purchase date as long as it has not been used. If you have used any clips on your card, the purchase cannot be refunded. You can transfer the remaining sessions to another active member of Fitness World by contacting your current trainer. If you purchased the clip card by instalments, you as the purchaser will continue to be liable for payments.
Clip cards for personal training have a validity period of 12 months from the date of purchase, and the validity period cannot be extended.
